Fans will not be allowed to attend Ahly's anticipated clash against Pyramids, the Egyptian Football Association announced on Sunday.
Both sides face off on Friday in an adjourned league game.
Pyramids are second in the league table with 30 points from 15 matches, eight behind leaders Zamalek who played the same number of game, while Ahly lie sixth with 24 points from 12 matches.
"Pyramids will host Ahly at the Air Defence stadium on Friday behind closed doors," read a statement on the EFA official website on Sunday. The governing body did not provide any reasons for the decision.
Few thousands supporters are allowed to attend league matches as the EFA partially lifted a crowd ban in September.
Ahly lost two precious points on Saturday after being held to a 2-2 draw by Dakhleya, while Pyramids drew with ENPPI 1-1 in their previous match.
