Egypt's national team started on Monday the training camp in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Kenya and Comoros with Zamalek players plus Smouha's Hossam Hassan at Haras El-Hodoud Stadium.

The Pharaohs are scheduled to face Kenya and Comoros in the beginning of their campaign on 14 and 18 November, respectively.

The players will train for three days before returning to their club. Domestic players will begin the camp on 5 November, to be joined by their fellow footballers based abroad on 10 November.

Zamalek's midfielder Ahmed "Zizo" El-Sayed, full back Abdallah Gomaa, and Smouha's Hossam Hassan started intensive physical exercises on Monday, while the Whites' Mahmoud Alaa and Tarek Hamed will join the camp on Tuesday.

Only Zamalek's keeper Mohamed Awaad will miss the three-day camp. He had sustained a neck injury on Thursday during the game against Generation Foot in the African Champions League.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Football Association on Saturday, the team was still trying to play a warm-up game on 7 November but they couldn't yet reach an agreement with any opponent.
