A spectacular strike from Ahmed "Zizo" El-Sayed in the 115th minute gave Zamalek a 2-1 victory against Smouha on Monday to reach the Egypt Cup quarter-finals.

The Whites, who won six out of the past seven titles, will face FC Masr in November.

After a scoreless and dour first half, Smouha turned on the style in the 54th minute when Salah Mohsen scored one of the best goals of the season, cutting from the left and producing a magnificent curling finish into the top corner.

Second half substitute Emam Ashour grabbed the equaliser after intercepting a low cross from Zizo in the area and his deflected shot wrongfooted the keeper in the 81st minute.

Going into extra time, Zamalek attacked en masse and got what they deserved with an outstanding shot from Zizo after a solo display in the 114th minute.
