Zamalek forward Youssef 'Obama' Ibrahim has signed a three-year contract extension to keep him at the club through to the summer of 2024, the Cairo giants announced on Thursday.

 
The 25-year-old made his first appearance with Zamalek in 2014, before being loaned in two spells for Ittihad of Alexandria and Wadi Degla in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
 
He returned to Zamalek in 2017 and was introduced as a regular starter with the club.
 
Obama has played 84 matches in all fronts, scoring 15 goals so far and helping the club win eight different trophies.
 
Earlier on Thursday, Zamalek announced that they also extended the contract of their team's international fullback Ahmed Fatouh for three years until the summer of 2024.
 
On Wednesday, Zamalek's skipper Mahmoud 'Shikabala' Abdel-Razek signed a two-year contract extension to stay with the club until the summer of 2023.
 
Zamalek are in advanced negotiations with the team's international midfielder Ferjani Sassi to extend his stay with the club, especially with several reports linking the player with a move to the Qatari League.
 
The contract of the Tunisian midfielder expires at the end of this season and the club are keen on keeping their classy midfielder.
