Galatasaray Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed will undergo medical scans to determine the seriousness of an ankle injury sustained on Saturday.

Turkish media reports revealed on Sunday that the Egyptian star sustained an ankle injury during Saturday's Galatasaray's 3-1 win over Besiktas.

Mostafa Mohamed started the game on the bench before replacing Radamel Falcao in the 63rd minute but he was stretched off late in the game after sustaining the injury.

The 23-year-old striker has taken Turkish football by storm since joining from Cairo giants Zamalek last month on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal, netting seven goals in 15 appearances with Galatasaray.

Galatasaray are third in the Turkish League table with 78 points, three points behind leaders Besiktas JK.
