Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz revealed that the game against Morocco's RS Berkane won't be an easy mission as the Reds concentrate on the preparations for the game.

The Cairo giants are scheduled to face RS Berkane in the African Super Cup on Friday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar.

"We are concentrating on the preparations for the game against RS Berkane as we bid to reclaim the African Super Cup trophy that we have missed for a long time," Abdel-Hafiz told a television programme.

Ahly, who have a record of six Super Cup wins, claimed the Champions League after defeating arch-rivals Zamalek 2-1 in the final last month, while RS Berkane won the Confederation Cup at the expense of Egyptian team Pyramids FC.

"The game against RS Berkane won't be easy mission as some people expected as we will face the champions of the Confederation Cup without paying attention to their ranking in the domestic competition," he added.

Abdel-Hafiz also commented on the game against Esperance of Tunisia in the CAF Champions League semi finals, saying his team will face tough opponents in all rounds of the continental tournament.

Ahly reached the Champions League semi finals after beating Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa 3-1 in the quarterfinals on aggregate, while Esperance defeated CR Belouizdad of Algeria 3-2 on penalties.

"We can't choose our opponents in the coming games but we will be asked about the result," Ahly's football director said.

The Ahly's football director also revealed that influential left-back Ali Maaloul is %100 fit for the 2020 African Super Cup game against Moroccan side RS Berkane after recovering from a hamstring injury.
