Ahly left-back Sayed Moawad will undergo physiotherapy on the sole of his foot before Saturday's match against Sunshine Stars of Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, according to the club's official website.
The 33-year-old sustained the injury during a friendly with Smouha in preparation for the Champions League clash.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils' coaching staff decided to rest playmaker Walid Soliman from Tuesday's training session so he could complete his recovery from a knee injury before the Nigeria trip.
The six-time African Champions, who travel to Nigeria on 4 October, two days before the crucial showdown, booked their place in the semifinal by topping Group B with 11 points, while Sunshine Stars qualified by finishing second in Group A behind defending champions Esperance de Tunis.
Titleholders Esperance of Tunisia take on four-time winners TP Mazembe of the DR Congo in the other semifinal clash.
