Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry has announced his interest to land Talae El-Gaish's influential playmaker Ayman Hefny in the current transfer window.
"Ayman Hefny is one of our most favorite targets this winter," the 52-year-old coach was quoted as saying by Al-Ahram daily newspaper.
Other reports claimed on Thursday that Ahly’s arch rivals Zamalek have already finalised an agreement with Hefny, a former Maqassa star.
Both teams are now looking to strenghten their squads ahead of the new season that is set to start on 1 February.
The Red Devils, are currently in Saudi Arabia to play a friendly match with Al-Hilal.
The friendly match on Friday will also be the Saudi teamplayer Abdulla El-Sherida's last match.
