Saint Etienne's Algerian fullback Faouzi Ghoulam reached an agreement with Torino to join the Serie side this summer, French magazine France Football reported on Wednesday.

According to the French magazine, Saint Etienne will receive 2, 8 millions euros to complete the deal.

The international defender produced a string of strong displays with the French side the last season, attracting Torino's coach Giampiero Ventura attention.

Italian side Sampdoria have showed interest in the 22-year-old who was linked with Saint Etienne until 2016, but it seems that Torino won the deal.

The French-born player, was selected in the Algerian squad which played in this year's Africa Cup of Nations but he didn't play any games during the continental's tournament.

He made his debut with Algeria last March when they defeated Benin 3-1 in a World Cup qualifier.
