Ahly first football team squad returned to Cairo Monday's morning from South Africa after the 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates in the 1st leg of the CAF Champions League final last Saturday.
The Red Devils were close to winning the first leg in Johannesburg when veteran playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika put the visitors upfront with a brilliant curling free-kick just before the quarter-hour mark.
However, Ahly's slender lead was cancelled out by Thabo Matlaba who hit an equaliser deep into stoppage time.
The Cairo giants' players will be handed a rest on Monday to resume trainings on Tuesday in preparations for the second leg.
Ahly are favourites to retain their Champions League crown and extend their record to eight triumphs in Africa's elite club competition when they host the Pirates in Cairo on 10 November.
Orlando Pirates' squad will arrive in Cairo on Friday, two days before the crucial game.
