Ahly's Tuesday morning training session was dominated by worry after four key players suffered injuries: Walid Soliman, Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Abou-Treika and Emad Meteb.

"Midfielder Walid Soliman sustained an Achilles tendon injury," team doctor Ehab Ali told Ahram Sports.

"Winger Fathi suffered a knee injury, while Abou-Treika had a bruise on his face.

"Emad Meteb complained of fatigue in his thigh muscles."

The injuries provoked fears that some of the players would miss next Sunday's home clash against South Africa's Orlando Pirates in the second-leg of the CAF Champions League final.

"All injuries are minor and won't prevent the players from participating in the African final," Dr Ali confirmed.

The first-leg held on Saturday in Johannesburg ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Cairo-based club will hold Wednesday's training session at the Arab Contractors stadium, where the match will be held, to get used to the arena.
