Arab Contractors face possible relegation to the second division

Arab Contractors coach Ivica Todorov resigned from his post after his team suffered a 3-0 home defeat by fellow strugglers Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.

The 60-year-old opted to depart after failing to turn around the team’s fortunes following his appointment in November last year.

He becomes the third manager to leave Contractors this season after Mohamed Amer, who was shown the door following the first league game, and Hamza El-Gamal.

The Mountain Wolves, who are mired in the relegation zone with just 12 points, four adrift of safety, are likely to appoint youth team coach Mohamed Radwan as his successor.

Earlier this month, Swiss tactician Alain Geiger left Premier League side Masry due to the club’s financial problems.
