Ahly left winger Sayed Moawad is fit and ready for Saturday's match against Nkana of Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup's round of 16 .

"The player will be ready for the African game starting next weekend after he recovered from a minor leg muscle injury," Cairo-based club doctor Khaled Mahmoud was quoted as saying on the team's official website Monday.

The injury had forced the 34-year-old defender to miss the Mahalla 1-1 draw Sunday in the Egyptian Premier League.

After being eliminated from this season's championship, the record holders of eight trophies of the CAF Champions League are bidding to win Egypt's first CAF Confederation Cup.

Kicking-off their group stage with the Nkana game Saturday, Ahly are finalising their trainings for the anticipated match, which is to be held behind closed doors in Petro-Sport Stadium in Cairo. The Zambian delegation is due to arrive on Wednesday.

The Red Devils were informed of their next continental showdown date -- in Tunisia, 25 May, against Etoile Sportive du Sahel -- before facing their third opponents in Group B, Ivory Coast's Sewe Sport.
