Zamalek's forward Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek has signed a new two-year contract extension that will keep him with the Cairo giants until 2017, the club announced on Monday.
The 34-year – who joined Zamalek in the summer of 2013 – has one year remaining on his contract with Zamalek, but he opted to renew for another two years.
Abdel-Malek helped Zamalek win the Egypt Cup in 2013, but he was loaned to the Libyan side Ahly Benghazi, where he has played the last six months.
The former Harras El-Hodoud forward made 49 international starts, scoring seven goals.
