Zamalek team began their training camp in Alexandria on Sunday amid preparations for facing DR Congo's Vita Club on 10 August.
The Whites will be hosting the Congolese team in the fifth round of the African Champions league.
The Cairo giants will be in a must win situation to keep their hopes of reaching the semifinals alive as they currently lie at the bottom of Group A with 4 points, three behind leaders Vita club and DR Congo's TP Mazembe.
Directly after the draw, rookie coach Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' was fired and replaced by Egypt football legend Hossam Hassan.
Zamalek, who are bidding for their first continental league semis since 2002, won Egypt Cup last month after finishing third in the Egyptian Premier League.
"We will fight until the last minute to reach a semi final. The team will have a different style, especially with the recent new signings that will add a lot to our performance," Hossam, who signed a one-year contract with Zamalek, said upon his presentation by the club at a press conference on Saturday morning.
The 47-year old Hassan will be hoping to regain the services of defender Salah Soliman who is doubtful for the match as he still suffers from knee problems.
