Despite losing two precious points in the Egyptian league race, Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan has confirmed that he is satisfied with the 0-0 draw against Ismaily on Monday.
“The draw is a good result especially as it was an away match. Besides we were missing a lot of our key players, unlike the hosts,” Hassan was quoted as saying by Ahram's Arabic portal.
The Whites, who according to their coach were denied a deserved penalty, are still at the top of the league, five points ahead of the Dervishes.
“The referee is a main reason of the draw as he overlooked a deserved penalty for us,” former Ahly and Zamalek star, Hassan, explained.
As there are 11 rounds remaining in the tournament, Zamalek’s coach is convinced that the title race is not over yet.
“Losing points is normal for us and also for the other teams. The hero will be determined at the end of the tournament,” Hassan concluded.
