Ahly continues to be without Ethiopian striker Saladin Said who is still suffering from a tear in his calf and needs time to recover, according to a statement by team doctor Ehab Ali on Thursday.

The 25-year-old Ethiopian striker Saladin was expected to be sidelined for six weeks since the injury occurred last September but scans have shown that he has not recover on time.

Saladin sat out during the Egypt Super Cup game against Zamalek last September, which Ahly won in a penalty shootout.

Said, who started his career at Saint George in Ethiopia, became first Ethiopian player to win an Egyptian football championship after the Egypt Super Cup triumph.

He joined the Red Devils on a five-year deal last May after his contract with Wadi Degla expired during the summer.
