Ahly playmaker Abdallah El-Said has been named in the team's squad for Saturday's clash away to Sewe Sport in the first leg of the African Confederation Cup final after recovering from an injury that sidelined him for several months.
The 29-year-old hasn't made any appearances this season, having broken his foot during a Confederation Cup game against Zambia's Nkana in May.
His absence was clearly felt as Ahly struggled for creativity lately. His return is a major boost ahead of Saturday's clash in Abidjan.
Ahly, the record holders of the elite African Champions League with eight titles under their belt, will host the Ivoirians on 6 December for the final's second leg.
The club's board is in talks with the interior ministry to allow up to 30,000 fans to attend the game instead of 20,000 as the ongoing crowd ban will be temporarily lifted.
Ahly are seeking to become the first Egyptian side to win Africa's secondary club competition.
