Egyptian club Smouha have officially signed two players from African Confederation Cup runners-up Sewe Sport.
"We have signed Ivorian duo Ousmane Ouattara (defender) and Hermann Kouao (forward) of Sewe Sport," Smouha president Mohamed Farag Amer told an Egyptian radio station on Monday.
Ivorian side Sewe Sport reached the Confederation Cup final for the first time in their history this year, but lost the title to Egypt's Ahly last week.
Both Ouattara and Kouao made a superb performance against the Cairo giants in the two-leg final to snatch the attention of Smouha officials.
The Ivorian duo will boost the coastal side, Smouha, in its first appearance in the African Champions league's new season.
Smouha, who ended the Egyptian league last season in second place, currently lie at 13th place with 15 points, 13 behind leaders, Zamalek.
The Alexandria-based club lost 6 times in 13 matches this season, winning in four and holding to draw in the remaining three matches.
