ENPPI failed to reclaim their position at the top of the table after drawing with Haras El-Hodoud away from home in the Egyptian league on Saturday.

Aiming to get into next week's top-of-the table clash with Zamalek topping the standings, ENPPI could only play out a goalless stalemate with Hodoud at Alexandria's Max Stadium.

The petroleum side slipped to second place with 30 points, one off leaders Zamalek  while Hodoud climbed to seventh on 20 points.

Elsewhere, Hassan Shehata's Arab Contractors inflicted on Ismaily their first defeat of the season after triumphing 2-0 at Arab Contractors Stadium.

Goals from full-back Ahmed Ali and Ghanaian striker Ernest Papa Arko gave former Egypt boss Shehata his third win in five games after taking Contractors' helm last month.

Contractors move to 12th of the league table, while Ismaily slip to eighth place.
