Ahly striker Mohamed Farouk has officially joined Egyptian Premier League rivals Wadi Degla on a six-month loan deal, the Cairo giants announced on Saturday.

"We have reached an agreement with Degla officials in the last few days and the player will be available for their training sessions starting from Saturday," Ahly said in a statement on its official website. The statement did not give financial details about the deal.

"It is still too early to speak about letting Farouk join Degla on a permanent basis," added the statement.

The 25-year old player joined Ahly earlier this season from the Arab Contractors, but he failed to book a place at the team's starting line up amid reports of a bust-up with Spanish coach Juan Carlos Garrido.
