The Cairo-based club’s president, Galal Ibrahim, launched an official request to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) cancelling their withdrawal letter from the Egypt youth tournament.
The White Castle U-21 coach, Hassan Basry, responded to his players' eager demands to take part in the competition hoping to impress and break through the senior squad.
Early this week, Zamalek's U-21 technical staff withdrew the club's junior team from the domestic league after the side lost several key players to the senior squad. Zamalek’s first team tactician, Hossam Hassan, promoted young players like Omar Gaber, Mohamed Ibrahim, Hossam Arafat, Ahmed El-Kattawey and Ahmed Tawfik.
