The competitions’ committee of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) decided on Monday to impose a one-match ban on Ahly’s football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, as well as a LE10,000 fine, after his attempt to attack Abdel-Kader Morsi, the referee of his team’s game against El-Entag El-Harby last Friday.
Unsatisfied by the referee‘s decisions, Abdel-Hafiz was involved in a bust-up with the referee after the 2-2 draw while going into the dressing room, and they reportedly had to be separated before a fight started.
In addition, Ahly and Zamalek were fined LE15,000 each after their fans repeated abusive chants during this week’s Egyptian Premier League matches.
