Misr Lil Maqassa’s striker Hussein Hamdy looks on the brink of making a move to Ahly who have reportedly made a LE7 million offer ($1.2m) to sign him this summer.
"We received several offers concerning Hussein Hamdy and Moroccan midfielder Omar El-Najdi, but we will give our decision at the end of the season," Maqassa’s president, Mohamed Abdel-Salam, told Ahram Online on Sunday.
Hamdy, who has scored seven league goals until now, has produced impressive performances, helping Maqassa settle into sixth place in the league table in what is their first ever appearance at the top.
According to Maqassa’s president, French giants Olympique de Marseille are also interested in signing El-Najdi.
The 24-year old gifted playmaker, who joined Maqassa last January, has thus far made a noteworthy impact with his team and was even able to score the winner in Maqassa’s stunning victory over league leaders Zamalek last Thursday.
