Ahly's Nigerian striker Peter Ebimobowe will miss Wednesday's game against Maqassa on 17 June in the Egyptian Premier League due to an injury, the club announced on their official website.
"Ebimobowe suffered muscle spasms during training on Friday, and medical scans revealed that he needs to rest for three days. He won't be available for the Maqassa match," Ahly's doctor Khaled Mahmoud said.
During recent games Ahly have struggled with the absence of key players due to injuries and suspensions.
The 22-year-old right-footed forward, Ebimobowe, joined Ahly during last winter's transfer window as part of an effort by the Red Devils to beef up their frontline this season.
During Saturday's training session, injured goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy started his rehabilitation programme, and is expected to resume full trainings in three weeks.
Ekramy picked-up a knee injury during last week's match against Tunisia’s Club Africain in the African Confederation Cup.
The title-holders Ahly are third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 61 points, nine behind arch-rivals and leaders Zamalek.
