Zamalek have completed the signing of ENPPI's attacking midfielder Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneim, adding another promising player to their ranks as they seek to defend the Egyptian Premier League title.

"Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneim officially joined Zamalek ," the Cairo giants said on their official Facebook page on Sunday, without disclosing further details.

The 21-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Egyptian football and is a regular member of Egypt's U-23 team.

He was also included in the starting line-up of Egypt's senior side when they defeated Tanzania 3-0 in their opening African Cup of Nations qualifier last month.

Kahraba spent 18 months in the Swiss league, where he played for Luzern and Grasshopper before returning to boyhood club ENPPI last January, producing some fine displays to help the team finish third in the Egyptian Premier League.

"Zamalek received Kahraba's international papers from ENPPI after negotiations between the two sides have been finished," read a statement on Zamalek's official website on Sunday.

Abdel-Moneim's nickname 'Kahraba' can be translated to 'Electricity,' an expression of his usual lively performances.
