Zamalek will examine the injuries of their international players who took part in Egypt's 5-1 away win over Chad on Sunday, as the Cairo club prepares to play Orlando Pirates.

Midfielder Ibrahim Salah and striker Bassem Morsi, who netted a hat-trick in the victory that helped Egypt move a step closer to qualifying for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, have both sustained injuries.

"Morsi and Salah will undergo medical scans to determine the seriousness of their injuries and their availability for Sunday's game," club doctor Ayman Farid was quoted as saying by Al-Ahram Arabic sports section on Monday.

The 28-year-old Salah suffered a minor groin strain while Morsi, 24, sustained a calf strain.

The Whites will complete the Confederation of African Football (CAF) group stage matches at Cairo's PetroSport Stadium, where they host South Africa's Pirates on Sunday.

Zamalek have already qualified for the Confederation Cup semi-finals and are looking top Group B by beating Orlando Pirates.
