Ahly midfielders Hossam Ghaly and Salah Gomaa will not be available for the team's upcoming clash against Stade Malien in the Confederation Cup quarters due to injuries.
The two players failed late fitness tests and were consequently dropped from Ahly's squad for their last Group A clash, having already secured their place in the Confederation Cup semis with one match to spare.
Ahly skipper Ghaly is suffering from a hamstring injury sustained during Ahly's friendly against Spanish side Getafe on Thursday while new-signing Gomaa still needs time to recover from a groin injury.
Already-qualified Ahly will host the Malian side in Cairo on Saturday as the defending champions will be looking for a win to cement their position on top of the group and qualify for the semis as Group A leaders.
Ahly are joint top with Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel with ten points each.
