Zamalek centre-half Mohamed Koffi is ready to take part in the Egypt Cup final against Ahly after recovering from a calf strain, while attacking midfielder Mohamed Ibrahim remains in doubt.
Burkina Faso defender Koffi, an indispensible member for Portuguese manager Jesualdo Ferreira, is suffering from a minor calf injury as a result of the cup quarter-final with Smouha, a match that saw Zamalek march through on penalties following a scoreless regular-time draw.
Talented midfielder Ibrahim, on the other hand, is set to undergo scans on an injured hamstring, a problem he also picked up against the Alexandrians on Thursday.
Egypt Cup holders Zamalek have now qualified for the final for the fourth consecutive time. They claimed the title during the past two seasons.
The Whites will clash with their perennial rivals Ahly for the third time this season on Monday, as they could potentially meet again in the CAF Confederation Cup two-legged final should both teams go through the semis.
