The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has decided to postpone indefinitely the derby scheduled for today, Wednesday, in Cairo between Zamalek and Ahly following the clashes between martyrs' families and police on Tuesday night.

“The decision was taken by the security authorities after the clashes in Tahrir Square. The rest of the matches of day 27 of the Egyptian premier league will not be affected by the decision,” EFA president Samir Zaher was quoted as saying to the State TV on Wednesday.

EFA's Football committee will convene next Saturday to set a new date for the Cairo derby.
