Zamalek midfielder Hassan Mostafa will be off-field till the end of the current season due to a broken hand injury he sustained during the Egyptian Premier League day-26 Masry match.

The 31-year-old player will undergo bone surgery to speed his recovery.

The former Ahly player broke his hand in the middle of a clash between Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan and a program director from local television last Saturday.

Cairo giant, striker Amr Zaki, is ready to boost the Whites front line during Somoha’s clash in day-28 of the league next Sunday.

“Medical reports confirm that I am fully recovered from my pelvis injury despite the small pain I feel sometimes,” the 28-year-old Pharaoh said, adding “pain killers really help me.”

In another news, Zamalek president Galal Ibrahim announced that he will decide the future of the current coaching staff after the end of the season, confirming that the Whites will not bid for any new players just now.

The White Knights are second in the league table with five points separating them from title holders Ahly who lead with 56 points after the 2-2 draw between them on Wednesday.
