Ex-Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan failed in his first league test as manager after seeing his Petrojet side slump to a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Masri at Ismailiya Stadium.

Petrojet went ahead in the 56th minute through former Zamalek front man Ahmed Gaafar before Hossam Hassan's Masri managed to make a comeback with ex-Ahly striker Ahmed

Raouf bringing his side level just three minutes later.

Ahmed Gomaa then came off the bench to put Masri in front 10 minutes from time before El-Sayed Abdel-Aal made sure of victory from the spot in the last minute.

Elsewhere, newly-promoted Ghazl El-Mahalla were beaten 1-0 by Smouha at Ghazl El-Mahalla Stadium, thanks to a 57th minute goal by former Zamalek and Ahly striker Hani El-Egeizi.

Another ex-Zamalek striker found the net when Burkinabe forward Abdoulaye Cisse opened the scoring for Ittihad El-Shorta in the 66th minute at Maqassa.

Cisse's goal was cancelled out in the last minute by Ahmed Sami who rescued a point at the Fayoum Stadium.
