Ahli and Zamalek are waiting for Cairo's derby

The most popular match in Egyptian football, between Ahli and Zamalek, had to be rescheduled to a day earlier because Cairo police will be busy with a lot of events on New Year’s eve.

According to the Egyptian FA website, the big day wasn't postponed in order to avoid any clash with Zamalek, who refused to play the match in January and prefer to meet Ahli before the transfer window.

It’s worth mentioning that the Egyptian league day 12 match was to be played on November 28th and was also postponed for security reasons during the time of the Egyptian parliamentary elections.

Top on the league table, Zamalek (27 points) are in form and ready for meeting title holders Ahli who are suffering injuries, have achieved only modest results and are in fifth place with only 20 points.
