After tussling with archrivals Zamalek, Ahly finally snatch ENPPI's Soliman

Egyptian champions Ahly have reached an agreement with ENPPI to land their player Walid Soliman, in a four-season deal for LE8 million and 25 per cent of the benefits if Ahly sell him.

The Cairo giants are to meet with the talented former Petrojet and Ahly of Saudi Arabia player to negotiate his demands soon.

"The two clubs have agreed on the transfer details," Ahly football director, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, told Ahram Online, adding, "We will start talks with the player immediately."

The 27-year-old Soliman is the fifth transfer for Ahly this season after El-Sayed Hamdy (Petrojet), Ahmed Shedid Qinawi (Masry), Brazilian Fabio Junior and Mohamed Naguib (Shorta).

Portuguese coach Manuel Jose has decided to give his squad a two-day rest after returning from Tunisia following the1-0 CAF Champions League defeat against Tunisian champions, Esperance.

Ahly placed third in the Group B ranking, three behind Moroccan leaders Wydad and runners up Esperance. The Egyptians will host the group's fourth placed team, Mouloudia Alger of Algeria, on 10 August.

“I hope the new signings help the team in the remaining games of the championship," Jose concluded.
