Italy's Serie A clubs Inter Milan and Empoli are interested in signing Zamalek's talented winger Mostafa Fathi, Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb reported on Saturday.
The 21-year-old recently came under the spotlight after his outstanding performances with the Cairo giants, helping them winning the domestic double (the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup titles last season).
This season, Fathi continued his habit of scoring off the bench, hitting the net four times in as many league games.
"Fathi is gaining the interest of several clubs in Europe," the report by Tuttomercatoweb said.
"He is one of the great talents. He is very good at dribbling and using his left foot," the report added.
Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour recently revealed that Italian clubs are interested in his skilful player, but insisted he would not be allowed to leave for less than four million euros.
"We don't mind sending any of our players to Europe but only if we received the right offer," Zamalek's board member Ahmed Mortada told Dream TV.
"We didn't receive any offers for Fathi, and once we get it we will discuss it immediately but the move will be next season not this one," he added.
Fathi joined Zamalek in 2013 on a five-year contract from second division side Belkas.
Zamalek currently tops the Egyptian league table with 30 points after 15 rounds, one point ahead of second placed arch rivals Ahly. Both teams still have two matches in hand.
In the Serie A' table, Inter Milan lies in fourth place with 40 points after 20 rounds, four behind leaders Napoli. Emploi is placed in 8th place with 31 points.
