Ahly will be eyeing a fifth successive win in the Egyptian Premier League when they face Talae El-Geish on Saturday, three days after beating arch-rivals Zamalek.

The league leaders are in a buoyant mood after beating title holders Zamalek 2-0 with following a convincing display on Tuesday. They are hoping to keep their seven-point lead over their cross-town rivals intact.

The Red Devils are on top of the table with 38 points, seven clear of Zamalek after 16 matches.

Ahly will continue missing midfield key player Walid Soliman, who is working to recover from an injury that sidelined him for almost a month.

The Red Devils' trio Hossam Ghaly, Abdallah El-Said and Gabonese attacker Malick Evouna are fit for the Talae El-Geish game after recovering from fatigue they felt during the Cairo derby showdown.

El-Sulaya to make debut

Ahly's new signing midfielder Amr El-Sulaya is expected to make his debut in the red shirt in the Talae El-Geish game after missing the ENPPI and Zamalek matches.

Under the helm of caretaker coach Abdel-Aziz “Zizo” Abdel-Shafi, Ahly will make use of El-Sulaya to replace regular midfielder Hossam Ashour during the Talae El-Geish match.

Ahly signed former Ismaily midfielder El-Sulaya on a free transfer for a four-and-half-year contract after he parted ways with UAE side Al-Shaab last month, after a six-month spell, to become eligible to play for Ahly.

A clairvoyant playmaker and neat passer with good shooting attributes, El-Sulaya is expected to be a valuable addition to team's central midfield.

Despite beating Talae El-Geish 1-0 in the first round of the league, Ahly coach Zizo warned players against over-confidence after beating rivals Zamalek, as the team has yet to secure the title with more games in the league.

"You have to be careful of Talae El-Geish as they have talented players that can perform well against big teams," Zizo told players after Friday's training session.

"We are working to win all the remaining games in the Egyptian Premier League to regain the title as well as pleasing the fans."

Talae El-Geish are in 14th place on the Egyptian Premier League table with 20 points. They are also in high mode as they recently drew with Smouha and Masry after beating Ittihad El-Shorta in the Egyptian Premier League.

Smouha will face Ghazl El-Mahalla at 14:30 Cairo local time and Masry is to play Petrojet at 17:00 on the 18th match day of the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.
