Zamalek’s official Abdallah George revealed on Monday that Ismaily’s international midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou signed a two-year contract during their meeting on Sunday.

According to George, Zamalek will pay the midfielder LE 6,500,000 per season.

The 28-year-old penned a new three-year deal with Ismaily last July but said he could annul the contract after the Dervishes failed to fulfil their financial obligations to him.

According to the player, his new contract with Ismaily could be terminated if the club failed to pay his financial dues before 18 August.

Zamalek are looking for the termination of his contract with Ismaily to complete the deal.

Abd-Rabou, who was voted the best player in Egypt’s triumphant 2008 African Cup of Nations campaign, is one of the most important players in Egyptian football.
