Ahly midfielder Mohamed Barakat will miss the game against Harras El Hodoud as he has not yet fully recovered from a knee injury.

The 34-year-old will be out of action on Tuesday in a postponed gamem originally scheduled for day eight of the Egyptian Premier League. Instead, the player will continue with his rehab programme.

“Barakat will miss Tuesday’s game as he still needs four day before resuming full trainings,” Ahly doctor Walid Abdel-Baki told Al Ahram Arabic website.

Moreover, the African giants’ doctor confirmed that winger Sayed Moawad is fit for this crucial encounter, dismissing claims that the player suffers from a knee injury.

“Moawad suffers from fatigue but that won’t prevent him from taking part in the coming game,” Abdel-Baki added.

Ahly are fifth in the Egyptian Premier League table with 20 points, seven behind arch-rivals Zamalek, who are currently in the driver's seat.
