Full time: Zamalek 0-0 Ahly

The referee blows his final whistle as both sides settle for a 0-0 draw

90+2' What a chance for Zamalek in the dying minutes! It's Fathi again. He goes clear after a defensive lapse from Rahil but he mis-hit his shot with the goal at his mercy and the defence clears the danger.

90+1' The referee adds three minutes of stoppage time.

90' Fathi makes another surging move and finds Mohamed Ibrahim at the far post but the latter's weak shot is easily collected by the keeper.

88' Mostafa Fathi cuts inside to make his trademark move but his attempted curling shot goes wide.

85' Zamalek make their second substitution. Nigerian midfielder Maarouf Youssuf replaces playmaker Hefni.

84' Ahly's central defender Hegazy is also booked after felling Morsi after being robbed by the striker.

82' Ahly make their second substitution. Ghanaian striker John Antwi replaces Amr Gamal.

81' Ahly's defensive midfielder Hossam Ashour is yellow-carded for catching Hefni in the face with a flailing arm.

79' Both sides ease off in the latter stages.

75' A dangerous counter attack for Ahly orchestrated by Ramadan Sobhi, who feeds overlapping skipper Ghaly but the latter's attempt to skip past his challenger is in vain.

72' Zamalek also make their first substitution. Winger Mostafa Fathi replaces the disappointing Kahraba.

69' Ahly finally make their first substitution. Teenager Ramadan Sobhi replaces ineffective winger Moemen Zakareya.

66' A chance for Zamalek!! A corner finds Bassem Morsi at the far post but his far-post header hits the side netting.

64' Ahly's left-back Rahil is booked for tugging the shirt of Ahmed Tawfik.

62' Ali Gabr blocks another volley from Walid Soliman as Ahly gradually improve.

59' It remains a dull affair. Both sides are expected to make substitutions shortly.

56' Ahly's towering defender Hegazy clears a pinpoint cross from left-back Adel Gomaa.

52' Zamalek's Ahmed Tawfik receives a yellow card, the third given to the team.

52' Both sides make a slow start to the second half, but Zamalek still look slightly better.

48' A free kick is awarded to Zamalek on the right but Ahly keeper Ahmed Adel is fouled following a cross.

The second half is underway

The referee blows his halftime whistle

45+1' Ibrahim gathers a neat chip from Hefni in the area but, instead of shooting, he opts to square the ball and Kahraba fails to take advantage.

44' The second yellow card to Zamalek is given to right-back Hamada Tolba for a challenge on Ahly's Sabri Rahil.

40' A wayward shot from Ayman Hefni goes wide. Zamalek still have the better possession as they try to push forward.

37' A cross from Ahly's left-back Sabri Rahil goes begging.

35' Zamalek playmaker Mohamed Ibrahim is booked for a challenge on Ahly's defensive midfielder Hossam Ashour.

32' Ahly and Zamalek have each created a goal-scoring opportunity so far.

31' The first real chance for Ahly!! A header from Ahmed Hegazy following a corner is cleared off the line by Adel Gomaa. On the follow-up, striker Amr Gamal blasts a volley high over.

27' A defensive mix-up inside the Zamalek area allows Soliman to hit a volley but his effort bounces off the ground and hits the defence.

26' Tarek Hamed tries his luck from distance but the Zamalek midfielder's long-range shot goes high over.

25' Hefni tries to muscle his way into the area but loses possession after skipping past a couple of challengers.

22' The first real chance of the game!! skilful playmaker Ayman Hefni superbly exchanges passes with Mohamed Ibrahim to elude the defence but his volley from inside the area goes over the bar with the goal at his mercy.

22' Zamalek look more in control now, albeit without any clear-cut chances.

19' A dangerous low cross from Zamalek winger Mahmoud Kahraba goes begging! Bassem Morsi fails to get on the end of it.

18' In Zamalek's first corner, a tame header goes into the hands of Ahly keeper Ahmed Adel.

16' Moemen Zakareya is almost gifted the first chance of the game but he dithers on the ball after running onto a through pass from Ghaly, allowing right-back Hamada Tolba to steal possession.

12' Soliman receives a yellow card for a lunge on Zamalek's left-back Adel Gomaa.

11' Soliman accomplishes his defensive duties, thwarting a cross that was destined for Zamalek's lone striker Bassem Morsi.

10' The first corner goes to Ahly but Walid Soliman's cross goes out for a goal kick.

8' Ahly skipper Hossam Ghaly's attempted flick following a cross from Walid Soliman goes into the hands of keeper Ahmed El-Shennawi.

7' Zamalek are trying to press high up the pitch, but Ahly's backline still faces no problems in moving the ball forward.

5' Koffi intercepts another pass. Both sides are still finding it difficult to move the ball around.

3' Zamalek's central defender Mohamed Koffi makes a great interception to stop a through pass from Moemen Zakareya following an Ahly breakaway.

2' The pitch is very poor at the Suez Stadium! The state of the pitch might affect the flow of the game.

The match is underway

21:00 Thirty minutes remaining before kick-off. Who will have the upper hand tonight?

20:40 Ahly's in-form prodigy Ramadan Sobhi, who is expected to join Stoke City this summer, is surprisingly left on the bench.

20:25 Zamalek adopt a bolder approach than Ahly, fielding three attacking midfielders behind lone striker Bassem Morsi. Ahly, on the other hand, seem cautious after playing with three holding midfielders in Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour and Amr El-Sulaya.

20:15 Ahly's starting line-up: Ahmed Adel, Ahmed Fathi, Rami Rabia, Ahmed Hegazy, Sabri Rahil, Hossam Ashour, Amr El-Sulaya, Hossam Ghaly, Walid Soliman, Moemen Zakareya, Amr Gamal

20:15 Zamalek's starting line-up: Ahmed El-Shennawi, Hamada Tolba, Ali Gabr, Mohamed Koffi, Adel Gomaa, Tarek Hamed, Ahmed Tawfik, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ayman Hefni, Mahmoud Kahraba, Bassem Morsi

19:20 Norwegian referee Svein Oddvar has been selected by the Egyptian Football Association to take charge of the game.

19:00 Both sides have already guaranteed their places at next year's African Champions League after Ahly had won the league and Zamalek come as runners-up.

17:45 Zamalek will miss winger Ahmed Hamoudi, whose future at the club is uncertain after he ended his one-year loan spell from Swiss side Basel.

17:15 Ahly's El-Saied and Evouna have already been ruled out of the derby but Sobhi, who is heavily linked with a summer move to English Premier League side Stoke City, has been declared fit.

16:15 Ahly have suffered a notable dip in form following the injuries which hit key players Abdallah El-Said, Ramadan Sobhi and Malick Evouna.

16:00 This leaves the White Knights with the mere target of securing a consolation win on the final day of the season, hoping to capitalise on Ahly’s recent stuttering form which saw them lose their opening two group-stage games in the African Champions League.

15:45 Zamalek, despite further strengthening their squad last summer, suffered the adverse effects of too many backroom reshuffles this term, playing with six different managers including two in caretaker roles as Ahly took full advantage to emerge victorious at the end.

15:00 Since then, Zamalek have lost six derbies and drawn as many games in the premier domestic competition.

14:00 The year 2007 remains the last time Zamalek managed to defeat Ahly in the league when the Red Devils were undone after fielding some fringe players in their starting line-up, shortly after wrapping up a routine league title.

13:30 Last year's win allowed Zamalek to claim the derby bragging rights for the first time since 2007 to complete a rare domestic double but Ahly rallied back this season to wrestle the league title back from their rivals with two matches to spare for their ninth triumph in 10 seasons.

12:30 Zamalek were hoping to host Ahly at Cairo’s Petrosport Stadium, where they beat their nemesis 2-0 in the Egypt Cup final last year, but security officials moved the Cairo derby to Suez. All domestic matches also take place behind closed doors.

11:45 With nothing tangible to play for, Zamalek will be looking to boost their morale by securing their first Egyptian Premier League win over Ahly in nine years when they meet the newly-crowned champions on Saturday.
