Egypt striker Marwan Mohsen has officially completed a five-year move to Ahly from Egyptian Premier League outfit Ismaily on Thursday.

"Egypt's national team striker Marwan Mohsen has officially signed a five-year contract with Ahly," read a statement on Ahly's official website on Thursday.

"Mohsen attended to the club's headquarters and signed the contract with Ahly's football sector director Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Shafi as the player will appear in Friday's trainings," the statement added.

The 27-year-old attacker joined Ismaily last season coming from Portuguese side Gil Vicente, who was relegated during the season, and he booked a regular place in the Dervishes squad as well as Egypt national team list.

The Egypt international, Mohsen, who joined Gil Vicente from Egyptian Premier League side Petrojet in 2014, made 25 appearances for the Portuguese side scoring only one goal.

After Gil Vicente were relegated to the second division after finishing second from bottom in Portugal's Primeira Liga in 2015, Mohsen returned to the Egyptian Premier League through Ismaily's gates but only spent one season from his contract to join topflight Ahly.

Mohsen joined Ahly while they are preparing for the Egypt Cup and CAF Champions League games.
