A dramatic episode in the Cairo derby series took place on Monday, as Zamalek won their favorite title -- the Egypt Cup -- for the fourth successive time, again defeating arch-rivals Ahly in the final.

Zamalek scored twice in 24 minutes, thanks to Bassem Morsi’s fine counter attack and his penalty before Abdullah El-Said kicked a penalty to give hope to Ahly to end the first half 2-1.

Mostafa Fathi scored the third to crash the Egyptian Premier League winner’s hopes of a comeback, causing them to make many fouls, resulting in a red card each to the experienced Hossam Ghaly and Ahmed Fathi.
