Ahly’s Portuguese coach Manuel Jose on Thursday revealed his 19-player squad to face Haras El-Hodoud on the opening day of the Egyptian Premier League in Alexandria on Friday.
The game will be played in Alexandria as the Red Devils are serving a home match ban due to their fans behaviour in the game against Kima Aswan in the quarterfinalof the Egypt Cup.
The 65-year-old tactician decided to omit Sayed Hamdi, Sherif Abdel-Fadil, Mohammed Fadl, Moataz Eno, Ahmed El-Sayed and Shehab Ahmed for tactical reasons.
The Cairo giant’s technical staff are eager to improve their ability to compete in the domestic league as they were eliminated from the CAF Champions League and the Egypt Cup within one week.
Ahly’s 19-man squad:
Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekrami, Ahmed Adel Abdel-Monem
Defenders: Wael Goma, Rami Rabea, Mohamed Naguib, Ahmed Shedid, Ayman Ashraf, Sayed Mowad
