The Egyptian FA’s competition committee has decided to punish Zamalek for their supporters’ behaviour during the Egypt Cup final against ENNPI.
The committee announced on Sunday that Zamalek will be required to play a home game at a neutral venue after supporters threw fireworks and bottles during their side’s loss to ENNPI.
This is the second home match ban for Zamalek following their clash with Haras El-Hodoud in the cup semifinals.
The Cairo giants were also hit by LE15,000 fine for not attending the post-match press conference.
Ahly were fined LE40,000 for their supporters’ behaviour during the league opener against Haras El-Hodoud, while Mahalla will play a home game behind closed doors in addition to a LE15,000 fine for hooliganism in a match against Masry.
