Zamalek winger Omar Gaber is out of his side’s match against Ghazl El-Mahalla on the second day of Egyptian Premier League season with a muscle strain originally sustained whilst playing for the Egyptian Olympic team against Niger.
The 19-year old played in the Egypt Cup final against ENPPI, but suffered a recurrence of the same injury.
The match will be played in Ismailia as Zamalek serve a home match ban due to their supporters’ behaviour during the Haras El-Hodoud clash in the semifinals of the Egypt Cup.
The match will be Zamalek’s first league match this season due to the cancellation of their match against Wadi Degla following the later team’s bus accident early this month.
In further news, Zamalek announced on Monday that they will pay their new signing, Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi, the rest of his pre-contract fees on Monday.
The 26-year old Omotoyossi recently joined Zamalek for $150,000 on a three-year contract from Swedish side Syrianska.
