After enjoying a winning start by beating lowly Dakhleya 3-0 on Saturday, Zamalek's reappointed manager Mohamed Helmi asserted that his team can win all the competitions this season.

"Zamalek have highly talented and qualified players," Helmi told the post-game press conference.

Zamalek, playing under their third coach this season, gave Mohamed Helmi a winning start by crushing Dakhleya in a one-sided Egyptian Premier League game Saturday.

Shikabala, Zamalek's top scorer so far this season, took his tally to three league goals to give them a first-half lead before summer arrival Ahmed Refaat netted his maiden goal and substitute striker Bassem Morsi converted a penalty after the break.

"Zamalek can't only win the Egyptian Premier League title but also win all competitions they participate in," the Whites coach added.

Only four months after stepping down as the team's head coach, Helmi was reappointed last week by Zamalek as first-team manager.

The 54-year-old led Zamalek to a 10-game unbeaten streak which ended with a bitter 2-1 loss to eventual champions Mamelodi Sundowns in their African Champions League home game in July.

Zamalek, who started the season under novice coach Moemen Soliman, are sixth in the table on 21 points, 11 behind leaders Ahly but with three games in hand over their arch rivals. Dakhleya are 14th in the 18-team table on nine points.
