An amazing second half goal from Hosni Abd-Rabou propelled Ismaily to a 2-1 win over ENPPI on Tuesday in the 5th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.

Ahmed Abdel-Zaher, 37, cancelled the hosts’ early lead through Ahmed Ali in the second minute.

In the 79th minute Abd-Rabou intercepted the ball just out of the box to fire one of his trade-mark rocketing balls that went directly in the top corner.

The international midfielder, who celebrated his 27th birthday on 1 November, put Ismaily temporarily on top with 10 points and extended his lead at the top of the scorers’ chart to seven.

A victory that wasn’t properly celebrated as the Ismaily fans were serving a match-ban and the show was behind closed doors.

El-Entag El-Harby claimed a precious 1-0 win over Bani Suef Telephones courtesy to a goal from Emad El-Nemr in the 59th minute.

Meanwhile Masry and Wadi Degla were held at home to a scoreless draw by Ittihad El-Shorta and Gouna.
