Zamalek reached Egypt Cup semi-final after defeating Talae El-Geish 3-0 in Cairo on Thursday.
Nigerian winger Stanley Ohawuchi opened the scoring for the White Knights just before the break when he met a pinpoint cross from team's skipper Mahmoud 'Shikabala' Abdel-Razek with a nice header.
Central midfielder Maarouf Yussuf, who is one of Zamalek's best performers this term, doubled the seal in the 68 th minute with a nice shot from inside the area, while fullback Hosni Fathi completed the rout nine minutes later.
Zamalek will face Masry in the competition's semis on the ninth of the next month.
Thursday's win helped Zamalek bounce back from their African elimination and will give the team's players a morale boost ahead of the Cairo derby set to be played next Monday.
The five-time African champions were eliminated from the Champions League group stage after their frustrating third-place in their group.
Winners of the four past editions of the Egypt Cup, Zamalek are looking to win the title to rescue a season that witnessed many failures.
