EFA announce draw, Ahly to kick-off Egypt Cup defending against Beni Suef

Cairo Rivals Ahly and Zamalek were drawn on Wednesday with second division teams Beni Suef Telephones and Minya in Egypt's Cup round of 32.

According to the draw, which was held on Wednesday at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters, title holders Ahly will be facing Beni Suef Telephones, while rivals Zamalek will play with Minya.

Round of 32 matches will be played from 6 to 10 November. The matches' definite schedule is yet to be announced.

Ahly won the last edition of the Egypt Cup after beating Masry 2-1, while Zamalek were eliminated from the semifinal after losing 2-0 to the Port Said-based club (Masry).

Zamalek currently lie at fifth place on the Egyptian league table with 12 points after seven matches, four behind leaders Ismaily, who played one match less. Ahly comes 13th with seven points after playing only three matches due to continental commitments.
