After beating Enppi 4-1 in the 12th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League, Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has praised the performance of Moroccan striker Walid Azaro who scored Ahly's third goal, ending the petroleum team's hopes of making a comeback.

Ahly enjoyed another satisfying night in the Egyptian Premier League, easing past Enppi to register their seventh victory out of eight matches, moving to second in the table on Saturday.

"Azaro brings lots of benefits to the team, because he's a pacey and energetic striker," El-Badry told a television programme after the game.

"Azaro causes problems for any opponents and he is a brilliant striker." said El-Badry.

"He also creates confidence and harmony for the team over a series of games."

Central defender Saad Samir put Ahly in front after 28 minutes, and on-form Nigerian forward Junior Ajayi doubled the lead with a sublime effort 11 minutes later, with Enppi's porous backline costing them dearly.

"I am happy with Ajayi's improvement as well as what happened with Tunisian winger Ali Maaloul," said the Ahly coach.

Ahly look well equipped to win a third consecutive league title, having collected 22 points from their opening eight matches to move into second spot, four behind leaders Ismaily who have played three matches more.

The Red Devils have also extended their unbeaten league run to 49 matches. The last time they lost was in May, 2016, when they slumped to a last-gasp 1-0 defeat by Wadi Degla.
