Zamalek have officially signed FC Masr's defender Mohamed Abdel-Ghany, club chairman Mortada Mansour announced on Saturday at a press conference, without disclosing the details of the deal.

"The player will participate in trainings starting Sunday," Mansour said.

Zamalek, who are looking to strengthen their squad in the current January transfer window, recently announced the signing of Etoile Sportive du Sahel's fullback Hamdi Nagguez on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

FC Masr currently play in the Egyptian League's second division.

The 24-year-old Abdel-Ghany is Zamalek's fourth winter signing after landing the services of Nagguez, as well as Maqassa duo striker Nana Poku and midfielder Emad Fathi.

"We are close to signing two other players in the coming few days," Mansour added.

The Cairo giants Zamalek lie fifth on the league table with 32 points, 16 behind leaders Ahly.
